Portrait Location Guide

Location family portraits -are a great way to reflect your family style. Your Family Portrait is a visual art piece representing the importance of each family member.  The type of portrait that you choose tells the story of your family at this time in your lives. Great locations can help you to create a  family portrait that you you can be proud of and reflect what is unique about your family.

Family Portraits are as unique as the family they are created for.

Some things to consider when you envision your family portrait-

On which wall will your portrait hang?

What is your personal Style?

Are you Formal or Informal?

What Color Palette are you using in your home?

Lay out all of the clothing for the portrait session and see if it fits the room. If one outfit stands out from the rest replace it with one that blends better.

Do you want posed,  interactive or a combination for your session?

All things considered which location?

-Either in the studio or at the location of your choice, which will best reflect the unique nature of your family.

Here are some great location options to create a truly personalized family portrait.

They include:

-Architectural Locations

-Beach Locations

-Natural Preserves

-Urban or Downtown Locations

-Your home, boat or car

-Outdoors at our 2 acre studio

The sky is the limit when looking to personalize your family portrait. Here are a few examples of what we consider on location, non studio options. Nothing would please me more than for you to come up with your own variation of theses themes.

I look forward to helping you to create a wonderful portrait memory that will grace your walls and touch your heart!

Group Composite Business Portraits

May 1, 2017 By wpcruzportrait

Show your Team that they are valued:

Nothing tells your employees, board members, and associates, that they are valued,  appreciated and that you are proud to have them on your team, better, than featuring them in a group portrait. A group portrait that is used in your marketing, website and advertising. The problem is getting them all together for the shoot requires time and coordination. In addition group portraits are typically a compromise.  It is unusual that everyone looks their absolute best. You pick the one where the most people look good.  Then there is the fact that that your group might change unexpectedly, someone leaves the firm, someone gets transferred out of state, someone gets terminated,  and the group portrait isn’t accurate any more.

Having been in this business for over 25 years at Cruz Portrait design we  totally understand. Thankfully we have a great solution and that is a group composite. A group composite photo is a single photograph that has been created, using more than one image. We add one or more individuals to a group photograph when they weren’t really there when the group photo was taken. So we can schedule at their convenience. We take the best image of each individual and add them to the group. With our experience we do it in a seamless very believable way to create the perfect image of your group. When someone joins the group we can add the new member to the group, avoiding the need to re-photograph the entire group saving the company hundreds of dollars.

Your Family Photographer can capture what makes  your family so special.

Your family photographer can capture you special family moments. Memories made today and enjoyed for a lifetime. The best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or touched, they must be felt with the heart.

At Cruz Portrait Design we can create cherished heirlooms. Few possessions are valued as much by families as those special images that express what’s unique about each family member, how they grow and change, the values they share, the good times they enjoy together, and the love they feel for one another. It was great working with  Valerie, Lenny, Anthony, Connor & Arianna!

Keeping it Fresh Unique High School Senior Portraits

High School Senior Portraits

Unique Senior Portraits:

High School Seniors expect unique images that are a reflection of who they are and what they are about. My goal is to collaborate with seniors to create High School Senior Portraits in an unique, artistic and flattering way. No one wants their Senior Portrait to look like someone else’s, especially when the photographer has already created portraits of  your siblings. No pressure, at least from these lovely sisters each one different and beautiful in their own way. As a father of four daughters I know that while they are young they might bicker and fight, as they get older, there is no stronger support system or bond than their sisterhood. Thanks Scott and Dana for raising such great kids!
